Troubleshooting a Honda Accord Hitch Installation by a Local Shop
Question:
A local shop installed my hitch on my 2012 accord and left the heat shields in the trunk. Shouldnt they have been reinstalled?

I can help you find out what's going on with your heat shield on your 2012 Honda Accord.
According to Curt's directions, the heat shield only needs slight trimming and should be reinstalled after installation of the trailer hitch.
I've included an image from the instructions of the heat shield and the small portion that should be trimmed for your convenience as well as the part of the directions that state that the heat shield should be reinstalled after trimming.
