7-way/4-Way Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 1999 Ford F-250 with Factory 4-Way
Question:
I have a 1999 F250sd with factory 4wire plug and want to install the HM40975. I can not find a plug in harness that would connect from my truck existing 4 blade to the back of the HM40975, however I see that the wiring harness on the part 118243 is exactly what I would need to do this, My question is do you sell just the harness from part 118243 so that I can plug in from my truck harness to the new HM40975? I just ordered the HM40975-11998 after talking with someone the other day. With that part I will have to splice and if I could get the harness from 118243 I could just plug in and go. I do not want to have to pay for the whole kit just to get the harness. Thanks for your time,

For what you are trying to do the only option is to use the part # HM40975 for the 7-way/4-way and bracket and then use the part # 118243 for the relays, fuses and harness.
Most of what you are paying for with the part # 118243 is everything but the 7-way connector. Just the harnesses and relays/fuses are available separately. But even if they were the price wouldn't be that much different.
