Charging the Battery on a 2015 Ford Edge When Towing it Behind a Motor Home
Question:
Is the rm-765 recommended for use on 2015 ford edge?

The Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766 will also require a charge line, # RM-156-25, to maintain the battery on your 2015 Ford Edge. Another way to provide a charge to the Edge battery while it is being flat towed you can use an umbilical kit such as # HM47054. One end plugs into a 7-Way on the RV and the other end plugs into the 6-Way included with the kit. Just wire up the wires from the lighting kit to the included 6-Way.
Then you could run a wire from the 12 volt circuit/pin in the 6-Way to the positive battery terminal on the Edge. This will provide some charge to the battery while it is disconnected to flat tow the Edge. If the 12 volt circuit is not active on the RV side 7-Way connector then you could use the running light circuit. If you do this the RV running lights have to be on in order to send power to the Edge battery.
I have included a picture of the pin out on a vehicle side 6-Way to make it easier to identify the functions of the pins on the one included with the umbilical kit. The one that comes with the kit is labeled as well.
