Brake Controller and Installation for a 2001 Dodge Van 1500
Question:
I want to wire a 2001 dodge ram van 1500 for a trailer with a double axle for electric brakes And Im looking at 1 controller c5111o and a ebtc6 installation kit and also a curt custom wiring adapter dual plug in c51382 ...And believe this is all thats needed to get the job done but please correct me if this is wrong or if something else is needed or even if there is a easier way to do it before I order

You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 18252.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC6 like you mentioned if the trailer you plan to tow has a 6-way on it. Typically trailer will have 7-ways and the # ETBC7 would be needed. Normally horse trailers will use the 6-way and most other trailers will use the 7-way. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
To use the Curt Venturer part # C74VV you will also need to use the jumper wire # C51515.
