The difference between the two is the wheelbase of the vehicles that each are designed to fit.

The # VTFT15L fits the long wheelbase models of the 2015-2016 Ford Transit T150, T250, and T350.

The # VTFT15M on the other hand fits the medium wheelbase vehicles.
