Brake Controller and Install Recommendation for a 2004 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Just bought an RV that has the round 7 pin plug. My Honda has a hitch already with the flat 4 pin connector for lights. The RV has electric brakes and Ive read that if the vehicle is wired for it you can charge the battery of the RV when the car is running and being towed. Ready to dive into the installation, just need the list of parts and directions, a video would also be helpful. Thanks,

What you need is a brake controller to activate the brakes of your trailer and the install kit to convert the 4-way to a 7-way and install the brake controller. This kit will also activate the 12 volt accessory circuit which will allow the trailer battery to charge.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
For the install kit you will need the part # ETBC7. I attached an install video and install instructions for you to check out as well. The black wire that runs up to the battery of the Odyssey is what will charge the battery.
