Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2012 Acura TL
Question:
It looks like the curt C11496 shows more of the hitch than the other curt, but it might just be the angle of the photos.

I believe it is the angle of the photos because both Curt hitch # C11496 and Curt trailer hitch # C11496 will have the receiver and a good portion of the cross tubing exposed below the fascia on your 2012 Acura TL.
If you plan on towing with the Curt hitch then use # C45521 for the ball mount. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. Part # F-4 is the pin and clip you need.
If you will not be towing then I recommend Curt hitch # C11496 because it does not come with a ball mount you won't need and doesn't have special requirements for non-trailer loads like the Curt hitch.
For trailer wiring if towing you can use # 46255. I have included some links to videos and instructions for you.
