Hitch Choices for 2004 Scion xB

Hi. I would like to buy a class II hitch for my 2004 Scion xB. Will this hitch work?

We do have hitches available for your 2004 Scion xB, like the Curt # C11487 but they are a Class I with a 2000 lb towing/200 lb tongue weight capacity. The capacity of the hitch will be limited by the towing capacity of the vehicle, if it's less.
I noticed you had looked at the hitch adapters like # 80303 that would allow a hitch accessory with a 2 inch shank work in a hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. These adapters are only compatible with a Class II hitch, which has a higher weight capacity. We offer the # HTAD which will work with a Class I hitch, but be aware that we don't recommend using the adapters. Using a hitch adapter will apply more leverage to the hitch and its attachment points with the vehicle, which could fail if the leverage became too great. For that reason, the tongue weight capacity of the hitch is reduced by HALF when used with an adapter. This means instead of a 200 lb capacity, you could apply no more than 100 lbs of weight on the hitch.
