Economic Hitch and Adapter Recommendation for a 2000 Ford F-350 with Elite Rails
Question:
I have a Ford F-350 Heavy Duty which has the under the bed rails Reese for a 5th Wheel. Can I get a receiver compatible to the rails? Money is an issue, so not really looking for a Reese, and a used one is OK?

Expert Reply:
Sounds like you have the Reese Elite fifth wheel rail kit installed in your 2000 Ford F-350 RP30073.
To convert what you have to a standard rail design so that you can install a better priced hitch you would first need the adapter part # RP30156.
The best priced hitch then that would fit that adapter is the part # RP30047.
