Suspension of 2015 Toyota Tacoma Isn't Even Side to Side After Installing Timbren # TTORTUN4 Springs

Question:

goodmorning from Montana!!! I installed the ses, tortun4 rear on my 2015 Tacoma. I noticed that the passenger side is in full contact the drivers side has a 1- 1 1/2 inch gap, at the top of the rubber contact point. Is this normal? is this something Toyota builds into their frames? both ses, sit flush n the leaf springs, so its not a install problem

I always begin by reviewing the installation procedure since it's the most obvious place to look. Make sure the base for each spring assembly is sitting flat on top the leaf spring pack and that the U-bolts have been fully tightened. It might sound silly, but you'll also want to ensure that the vehicle is parked on flat ground and that if there's any load in the truck bed, it's evenly distributed from side to side.

If that all checks out okay, use a jack to lift the rear of the vehicle until the springs aren't in contact with the frame. Measure the height of each spring, making sure they are the same height. It's a very remote possibility, but there's a slim chance that the springs might have been mismatched at the manufacturer. Making sure they're the same height would rule that out.
