What Is Mounting Hole Spacing Dimension for Curt Class IV Hitch # 14055

Question:

On the product description page for Curt Trailer Hitch part number 14055 it is indicated that the Hitch will fit cutaway chassis if the bolt holes are 38-5/8 inches from frame to frame. Does this mean the bolt pattern is 38-5/8 inches center to center? That is my assumption and what I am hoping, but thought it best to check. Thank you.

Expert Reply:

Curt Class IV hitch # 14055 has mounting holes on its flanges that are indeed spaced at 38-1/4-inches apart measured on the hole centers. The overall width of the hitch, measured outside edge to outside edge at the mounting flanges, is 40-inches. Mounting hardware is included.

I did review the product description and the installation instructions but I did not find the reference to cutaway chassis fits. Those instructions are linked for you. This hitch is a confirmed fit for the 2006 Ford van including the E-150, E-250 and E-350.
