Where to Measure Roof Rack Bar Spread on a 2015 Honda CR-V for a Cargo Box

Question:

To measure the spread of the roof racks, do you measure from the inside, outside or the center of the racks to determine which cargo carrier will fit. I am putting it on a 2015 Honda CR-V Thanks

Bar spread is measured from the center of one bar to the center of the other bar on a roof rack. If your 2015 Honda CR-V has the factory installed crossbars I can tell you that the Thule Force XT # TH6358B does fit.

To determine if there will be any interference with the rear hatch there is a different measurement that is needed. First, if the bars can be moved then move the front bar as far forward as it will go. Then measure from the center of the front bar back to the seam between the roof and the top of the hatch. If that distance is less than 53-5/8 inches then there will not be any interference with the hatch. I have included a picture to illustrate this for you.
