Recommended Parts to Flat Tow a 2015 Chevy Equinox Behind a Motor Home

If you are talking about the actual tow bar that connects the motor home to the vehicle then those are not vehicle specific and you could reuse it. But if you are talking about the base plates that install on the vehicle that the tow bar attaches to then that is a different story.
Base plates are vehicle specific so you would not be able to reuse them. For your 2015 Chevy Equinox you can use Demco classic base plates # DM9518316. These base plates are compatible with Demco tow bars like the Commander II, # DM9511012, rated for 6,000 pounds. It also includes safety cables.
For lighting you can use a simple magnetic kit # RM-2120. Or for a more permanent solution you can use bulb and socket kit # RM-155. It also looks like you will need to pull a fuse to flat tow your Equinox. Consult the vehicle owners manual to confirm. To make this process as easy as flipping a switch you can use fuse bypass # RM76511. I linked a video showing how it installs.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the preferred systems for our installers and what I recommend is the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO proportional system, # SM99251. It will apply the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
