Adding Electric Brake Wiring To Second Axle On Tandem Trailer
Question:
How to wire second trailer brakes to existing controller or first trailer brakes?

Each brake magnet will have two wires exiting it. One wire would connect to the wire which carries the brake output signal from the tow vehicle. The other wire should be grounded to the trailer frame. There is no polarity on the brake magnets, so it doesn't matter which wire is grounded and which is connected to the brake circuit. You can use wire like part # 10-1-1 to complete the wiring for the brakes on your trailer.
I have attached a drawing that shows how the wiring is typically run for brakes on a trailer. I have also attached a link to trailer wiring diagrams that may help.
