Can a Canoe and Kayak be Carried at the Same Time on a 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon

We have not bought the car yet, but are considering buying a 2015 or 2016 Subaru Outback. We want to be sure that a Thule rack for canoe and kayak will work. And can we transport both a kayak and canoe on the vehicle?

Thule does have fit information for the 2015 Subaru Outback. Depending on how much space is available on the factory crossbars and the capacity of the factory roof rack you might be able to get both a kayak and canoe on the roof.
The kayak can be carried on its side using The Stacker, # TH830. This will allow for the most amount of space for the canoe. And then for the canoe I recommend the Portage # TH819.
Since you haven't purchased the vehicle yet you can compare the overall width of the kayak (on its side, and the canoe, plus another 8 inches or so to the useable width on the crossbars. Also be sure to check the vehicle manual for the roof rack capacity compared to your kayak and canoe.
