Best Hitch Mounted Bike Rack to Carry Low Step Through Womens Bike
Question:
Looking to install on a 2inch hitch on 2012 Honda Odysee. Looks the clearance when folded is no problem. I have a couple of full-suspension bikes and a couple of womens cruisers with step-through frames. I am concerned that this style wont work with them since the arm comes down in the center. Will this rack work or do I have to go to a wheel-holding design like the Kuat NV 4?

For very low step through frames like your women's bike, an adapter bar is the best option to use, even for platform bike racks like the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE 4-Bike Platform Rack # HR1400Z.
Take a look at the Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar # Y02531. This bar will connect between the handlebar gooseneck and the seat post, providing a bar that the center frame hook will secure around. It is easily removable, and will only be needed during transport, leaving your the step through frame functional.
I have included a video review of this this adapter bar for you to check out.
