If your 2007 Dodge Nitro has a factory roof rack with crossbars are spread out between 20 inches and 37 inches when measured center to center then the Thule Canyon Roof basket # TH859XT would fit. The cargo carrier is made to attach to the crossbars of a roof rack, not to be attached directly to the roof.

Anytime you are going to be carrying cargo on the roof you will want to check your owners manual or the car dealer for the load limit of the roof on your 2007 Dodge Nitro. You will want to make sure that with the weight of the cargo carrier and its contents, it does not exceed the roofs load limit.

The Thule Canyon Roof Cargo Carrier, # TH859XT, will mount to round, square and most factory OEM crossbars with the included mounting hardware. It weighs29 lbs. and has a weight capacity of 150 lbs.
