Recommended Bearings, Seals, Lug Nuts for 1995 Jayco Popup Camper

Question:

I have a 95 jayco 1207 jay series pop up. I need new hub/drum assemblies. Mine are originals with threaded holes for lug bolts. I found 7.25 x 1.75 drums with threaded studs 4 on 4. I think the races are already pressed so I will need bearings, seals, lug nuts. I have bearing buddys for the caps. Lemme know what your suggestion is. Also what the measurement id of the cap that fits the hub.

If your races are # L44610, which they almost certainly are, you will want the following parts:

Bearings:
Inner bearing: # L44649
Outer bearing: # L44649
Grease seal: # 10-9
Outer diameter: 1.987"
Inner diameter: 1.5"
Grease cap: 1.986"

But just to make sure you may want to measure your spindle to be sure bearings will fit and check races and hub for their part number.

I have included a picture that shows the measurements needed for a spindle, bearings, seals, faces, and hubs. The spindle measurements are labeled A through F.

A is the spindle shaft diameter
B is where the grease seal sits
C is where the inner bearing sits
D is where the outer bearing sits
E is the thread diameter at the end of the spindle for the nut
F is the spindle shaft length

The measurements need to be as accurate as possible so you will need to use dial or digital calipers.

Unfortunately there's not a way for me to track that information down. You will need to pull one of the existing hubs and look for numbers that should be stamped inside the inner and outer bearings.
