The Reese Trailer Hitch, # 41940, is designed for Chevy, Ford and Dodge 34 inch frames. To make sure it will fit your Chevy P30 chassis, you want to make sure that you measured from inside of the C-channel frame rail to the inside of the C-channel frame rail on the other side and see if it measures 34 inches.
Also this heavy duty hitch has a gross towing weight of 15,000 lbs. and a tongue weight of 1,500 lbs., but you do have to remember that the weight you can tow is limited to what the towing capacity is of the tow vehicle, not the capacity of the hitch.
If your frame measures wider or narrower than 34 inches, then your best option for installing a hitch would be to install a universal hitch like the Draw-Tite Class IV Weld On Hitch, # 41990-16. This hitch comes with 16 inch tall brackets, so you will want to measure from the bottom of the frame rail to the bottom of the rear bumper fascia to determine what size brackets you will need.
This hitch is also offered with 7 inch brackets as pat # 41990-07.
