Recommended Installation of E-Tracks on 30 FT Deck Over Trailer with 6 FT Wooden Sides
Question:
Im installing E track horizontally along my 30foot deckover trailer that has six foot wooden sides made of 2x4s and 1inch thick boards. If I attach the track to the 2x4s it will be bolted every two feet. My feeling is that thats too far apart, so what do you think. If I attach them to the 1inch boards I can use as many wood screws as needed. How close would you recommend placing them?

When it comes to installing the Erickson Horizontal E-Track, # E19148, on the walls of your 30 ft deck over trailer, I think that you will be perfectly fine attaching them to the 2 x 4s. Erickson does not provide specifics for mounting but since these are used as anchors and not to suspend weight, the two foot span should be sufficient.
