Normal Indication Lights For Curt Venturer Brake Controller
Question:
I just completed installation of my brake controller Curt # C74VV, after purchasing all items from you with a great installation video on my 1997 Silverado. I havent yet hooked it up to a trailer yet. It starts out with the green light when you touch the brake pedal or push the button which seems great. But it also keeps lighting up the solid red light for a short time every time I get in letting me know the trailer is disconnected. Is this normal? Thanks.

I called Curt to make sure that this is normal when the trailer is not connected. They confirmed that your brake controller is working exactly like it should. There should be a red light when you get in, and then it should change to a green light.
