Recommended Sway Control For 2010 Ford Expedition Towing 34 Foot Travel Trailer  

Question:

I have a 2010 Expedition with all the heavy tow pac.I have a 34 foot travel trailer. I changed the back tires to load range E.have load level hitch adjusted close to perfect. went from Denton Texas to Red River N.M .My truck has plenty of power no problems in the Mountains. I have a really bad sway problems. Will replace front tires with load range E help ?? FYI wind is bad but I had sway all the time 18 wheelers the hole 9 yards I know it has a fix . I saw lots of half ton trucks they did fine.

The change in tires may help for traction, but I am afraid they will not help with sway, but I do have a solution.

I recommend the Reese Reese Friction Sway Control, part # 83660. This system helps reduce trailer sway when you are facing high winds or passing trucks as you described. You will also need the Reese Sway-Control Bracket, part # RP26003.
