7- and 4-Way Trailer Connector for a 2010 Nissan Frontier without Tow Package

Question:

we are getting ready to help our daughter move her furniture from Colorado to Arizona. our truck did not come equipped with any towing harness for hooking up a rental trailer. which harness would you recommend. we were told that there was a wiring harness available for multi purpose usage. our dealer can not recommend one for us.

For your 2010 Nissan Frontier I recommend trailer wiring harness # 118266. The 7-Way style connector is used on many trailer and is easily adaptable for use with other styles of trailer connectors (adapters sold separately). But since it is a rental trailer it likely uses either a 7-Way blade style or 4-Way flat. So what you could do is also add connector # HM40950 which will allow you to plug in a 7-Way or 4-Way, depending on what the trailer needs.

So basically, instead of using the 7-Way only that comes with # 118266 you would replace it with # HM40950.
