Installation Of SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack On 2003 Subaru Legacy
Question:
I have set everything up as instructed by the fit guide. the feet are not anywhere close to sitting flush on the roof and the angle of the brackets seem completely off.

When you are installing the roof rack it is really important you follow the installation instructions in order to get a good fit. I spoke with a couple of our installers and they told me they have to shift the rack a little to get it to fit just right.
Per the instructions I saw you need to set the width for the feet at 32. If the feet are adjustable you may be able to move them a bit by using the main screw for the feet.
Then, measuring from the center line between the door post and the front door you should go forward 9-3/4 inches. This is where the center of the front crossbar should be.
Then measure from the center of the front crossbar rearward 27-1/2 inches and that is the center line for the rear crossbar.
