7-Way to 12 Volt Accessory Adapter Recommendation for Powering Cooler

I have a 2006 2500HD Silverado LT. Will this connector work with a electric brake controller to supply 12volts to a iceless cooler?

The back of the Pollak 7-Way to 12 Volt Power Outlet Adapter, # PK11896, does accept the type of input that you would plug into a power port/cigarette lighter outlet. You will need to make sure that the 12 volt pin, located in the 1 oclock position (if looking at the face of the 7-Way), is functional. Use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, to test the pin. With the adapter plugged into the 7-Way, you will be able to plug in a 12 volt accessory.
Your brake controller should not have any affect on this adapter functioning. Be sure to determine the amperage draw of your cooler and verify that the 12 volt circuit of your truck is rated for it.
