Exhaust Hanger Mods-Installing Curt Class III # 13707 on 2004 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
Question:
hi do i have to move my exhaust hanger on my dual exhaust 2004 crown vic police interceptor for any of your trailer hitches? it says that they have to be modified in the descriptions but i see on your 2003 crown vic video there was no modding done.

The Curt Class III hitch you referenced, part # 13707 fits a number of different vehicles, the install procedure can vary a bit from vehicle to vehicle. The only vehicle that would require modification of the exhaust hanger is the 2003 and later Lincoln Town Car. The install procedure on your 2004 Crown Vic Police Interceptor would be identical to what's shown in the video I've linked for you.
If you'll be towing with the vehicle, you'll want to add the following to complete your towing system:
Trailer wiring harness with 4-pole trailer connector, part # C59496
Ball mount, part # C45270
Hitch pin, part # PC3
1-7/8 inch hitch ball # C40017 or 2 inch hitch ball # 40038
