Will Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Carrier # HRE3 Fit 2008 Mazda 6 Hatchback with Spoiler

Question:

Will the HRE3 fit a 2008 Mazda 6 Grand Turing Hatchback with a spoiler? So far, no rack I have looked at has straps long enough to attach to the top of the hatchback door.

The Hollywood Racks Express 3 Bike Carrier, # HRE3, would not accommodate the spoiler on your 2008 Mazda 6 Grand Touring Hatchback but I do have a solution. Take a look at the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 3 Bike Rack, # HRF2-3, which is specifically designed for hatchbacks with spoilers. This carrier provides hatch anchors and the longer top straps that are need to secure the upper portion of the rack to your Mazda 6.

If you plan on carrying women's, children's or alternative framed bikes, I recommend an adapter bar like the Swagman Easy-Out, # 64005. This bar attaches between the seat post and the handlebar stem and allows the bike to be carried more evenly in the carrier while providing more ground clearance.

Please keep in mind that the vehicle has a soft bumper so you will want to make sure that the weight of bicycles does not exceed the capacity of your bumper.
