Recommended Replacement Axle for Agricultural Type Used on Utility Trailer

Question:

I HAVE A UTILITY TRAILER AND I WAS WANTING TO REPLACE THE HUBS. THE INNER BEARING IS A LM67048 AND THE OUTER BEARING IS LM11949. I HAVE READ IN PREVIOUS QUESTIONS THAT THIS A AGRICULTURE HUB IF THAT IS TRUE WHAT OPTIONS DO I HAVE. I WAS HOPING TO JUST REPLACE THE HUBS ONLY, BUT IF THEY ARE ONLY RATED FOR 20 MPH I DO NOT NEED THAT. THANKS

Thank you for providing the bearing numbers from your current hubs. This is important for finding suitable replacements, as are the axle weight capacity and wheel bolt pattern.

I recommend that you choose a new axle kit with spindles, hubs, bearings, races, etc. For example, we offer complete axle kits from Dexter, such as their # 35545I-EZ-89 which is 89-inches from hub face to hub face, rated at 3500-lbs, includes 5 on 4-1/2 idler hubs, bearings, races, seals, grease caps, wheel studs, lug nuts, and even marine-grade wheel bearing grease. Review and installation videos are linked as is our main page for axle kits. Here you can click on the filters on the page to choose the correct kit for your application.

The Dexter idler hub you referenced, is rated for 2200-lb axles and has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. However, since it uses different bearings it will not fit on your spindles. The only hub we offer that fits your spindles is the Dexter # AH15450ECOMP and this is an agricultural hub.
