The Pro Series Weight Distribution System w Friction Sway Control, part # PS49582 and # 83660, is designed to be used with systems that have a tongue weight between 550 and 750 lbs tongue weight. Using a system that has much heavier duty spring bars like the # PS49582 may result in a stiff ride and a bouncing trailer. Using a system rated too low will make the system virtually useless.

I recommend the Pro Series Weight Distribution System w/ Friction Sway Control, part # PS49901. This system is designed for tongue weight up to 550 lbs and a gross towing weight of 10,000 lbs. This system comes with an adjustable shank.

Another system I recommend is part # RP66072. This system is designed for tongue weights between 200 and 600 lbs, which puts your trailer tongue weight right in the middle which is ideal. This includes dual-cam sway control to stop trailer sway before it begins.

If you need a shank for this system I recommend the Reese Weight Dist Shank, part # RP54970. This shank features a 2 inch drop to 6-1/2 inch rise adjustment. You will also need a hitch ball with a 1-1/4 inch shank like part # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball or part # A-90 for a 2 inch ball.
