Troubleshooting 7-Way Trailer Connector on a 1995 Chevy 1 Ton Pulling a Northland Polar Camper EXT
Question:
Need to know which color of wire on camper represents lights turn signal and brake lights the wires coming out of the camper are orange black yellow and red Plus one 10 gauge white and 10 gauge red. I have a 7 pin connecter on the truck. My camper is a Northland Polar 200 EXT 11foot 6

On your Northland Polar 200 EXT camper, wire colors are not standard, so you will want to test for function using a volt meter like # PT89ZR or a circuit tester like # PTW2993.
If the trailer connector is bad, the simplest way to test is use a car battery and a jumper cable to put current on each wire to see what taillight functions illuminate. The 10-gauge white wire will most likely be your ground connection and the 10-gauge red wire is probably for an onboard battery or trailer brakes.
If the trailer connector is good, then it's a good idea to ensure your camper trailer connector is wired properly. Plug the trailer into the truck and have someone sit in the truck and run through each function while you probe the wires with the circuit tester.
