Troubleshooting Hitch Bolts that Don't Want to Line Up Properly

The bolts will not align properly. Thank you.

Sometimes in shipping the install brackets of a hitch can get slightly bent. As long as there are no flex marks on the hitch or chipped paint from the hitch flexing you can bend the hitch back to get it to line up.
Otherwise it can be helpful to start with all of the install bolts loose so that you can first get them all started. Once they are all started you can then torque them down to spec.
