Parts Needed to Install the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit part # K2HR79E

Question:

I am planning to convert our Heartland Landmark Grand Canyon 40foot 5th wheel to disc brakes. It is on 8 X 6 1/2 bolt pattern, 1/2 inch lugs, and has EZ Lube 7,000 lb axles. I think the following are the parts I would need for a Dacromet finish. Can you please confirm? Also, Is my choice of brake lines the most cost effective? Also, will I be able to retain the EZ-Lube feature as I expect? Titan Hydraulic Brake Lines and Fittings - Part # T4830000 Qty - 1 Titan BrakeRite EHB Electric-Hydraulic Actuator - Part # T4813102 Qty - 1 Replacement Trailer Hub Outer Bearing - Part # 25580 Qty - 4 Replacement Trailer Hub Inner Bearing - Part # 14125A Qty - 4 Kodiak Disc Brake Kits - Part # K2HR712D Qty - 2 Grease Seals 10-36 pair - Part # RG06-070 Qty - 8 Thanks for your assistance.

All of the parts you mentioned will complete a disc brake kit for a trailer, but you will need to know for certain if your current hubs have the same bearings that the # K2HR712D would take. You will need to pull the bearings of your current hubs to get the numbers that are stamped on them. If it's the same as what comes with the kit you would be good. They will need to be # 25580 and # 14125A. Most likely this would be the case since Heartland uses Dexter axles and a Dexter 7K axle uses this bearing combo.

The kit will also work with an EZ lube spindle like what you have on your trailer.

The most cost effective brake line kit would be the part # DM5425.
