Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2013 Chevy Spark with and without Ground Effects
Question:
how do I tell if I have ground effects
asked by: Juan
Expert Reply:
If your 2013 Chevy Spark is a 2LT then it would have the ground effects in question and for that there is not a trailer hitch receiver that will fit.
However if your Spark is a 1LS or 1LT then it would not have the ground effects and you would use Curt hitch # C11334.
If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
If you want to tow first check the owners manual to make sure it is permissible to do so with your Spark. the proper ball mount to use is # 3594. for a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # HM11141120.
