Converting a 5th wheel trailer from electric drum brakes to electric-over-hydraulic disc brakes will require a couple of items: the disc brake kit of hub/rotors and calipers, a brake line kit, an electric-over-hydraulic actuator, a breakaway kit and a brake controller such as the excellent Prodigy P3 # 90195. The linked article covers each of these items and is a good starting point for planning your project.

A link is provided that will show you all disc brake kits with the 8-on-6-1/2-inch bolt pattern. These kits start at a 7K rating, use 13-inch rotors and are suitable for 16-inch and larger wheels. You have options for the materials and finish, including raw finish, protective E-Coat, Dacromet or stainless steel.

For a tandem axle brake line kit you'll use Demco # DM5425 and for an electric-over hydraulic actuator you can use the CTS # HBA16. For a breakaway kit I suggest Tekonsha # 50-85-313.

Finally the brake controller I recommend is the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 which is among the easiest to use and most reliable units on the market.
