How Many Kayaks Can the Thule Stacker Carry
Question:
For the TH830 it says it holds upto 4 Kayaks? Am I correct in thinking that you would require 2 sets ups to perform this4 brackets?

The Thule Stacker # TH830 that you referenced can carry up to 4 kayaks with just one carrier. You would not need to order a quantity of two of these carriers to allow you to carry up to 4.
As long as the kayaks are under 10 feet in length, and the total weight of all 4 is less than the roof capacity of your vehicle this carrier would work well for you.
