Will Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Brake Assemblies # 23-468 & # 23-469 Work w/ Axeltek Brake Drums
Question:
My existing rig has a 3500lb axle with Axletek brakes. The Axeltek drums are 10inch dia x 2.25 wide. Can I replace the Axeltek manual adjusting brakes with the Dexter never adjust and utilize the existing Axeltek brake drums. The existing drums are in good shape and I would prefer not to replace them.

Helpful Expert Reply:
As long as your axle uses a 4-bolt mounting flange with bolt holes 2-7/8" apart on center, the Nev-R-Adjust Electric Brake Assemblies will work and you can continue to use your current Axeltek brake drums.
For the left hand side assembly you will need part # 23-468 and for the right hand side part # 23-469.
However if you would like we do have the Axletek equivalents availble too, for the right hand self adjusting is # AKEBRK-35R-SA and for the left hand self adjusting part it is # AKEBRK-35L-SA
