Will Timbren Helper Springs Level Out Sagging 2011 Ram 1500 Towing Trailer with Weight Distribution

Question:

I have a 2011 ogre ram 1500 qua cab 4 wd I tow a 26 foot travel trailer it weighs 5500 pounds . I have a Anderson anti sway weight distribution system, it works okay for sway but the truck still squats in the rear. Manufacturer could not help with question they said tighten up chains some more truck seem a little funny then. I was wondering if the timbres system would help level the truck out. Would it be safe to use both items when towing together?

When sag is caused by a trailer then the best solution to fix that issue is weight distribution. But you have to have a system that is rated for the total tongue weight of the trailer and it may need some fine tuning to get the truck to ride level.

Total tongue weight is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. If underrated for the trailer the system will not be effective. Also, if it is not set up properly you can still have sag and you will want to go through the set up process again.

Adding helper springs can provide a more level ride but you would not get the full benefits of the springs or the weight distribution system. If you can tell me what the total tongue weight is I can tell you the capacity weight distribution system you should be using.
