Carrying 2 Bikes On a 2015 Volkswagen Jetta TDI
Question:
I am trying to find a 2 bike rack for my 2015 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Do you have any recommendations. I tried another place but since the car is new they do not have a hitch that will fit the TDI. I was going to buy a hitch and then install a 2 bike rack but I need a bike rack. Any suggestions?

The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta TDI can be fitted with Curt trailer hitch # C11410. This is a Class I hitch so you are limited to 2 bikes. Also Curt says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 per their warranty requirements when using the hitch for a bike rack.
For a bike rack that is Class I compatible I recommend the Trailhead # S63360. Another option to carry 2 bikes on the vehicle is to use a trunk mount bike carrier. We have several 2-bike carriers that will fit your 2015 Jetta. I have included a link to them for you.
I like the Yakima FullBack, # Y02634, for its versatility (the arms move independently from the rest of the rack) and overall appearance.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
