Problems with Holes Not Lining Up on Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75902 for 2015 Nissan Rogue
Question:
Hi. The hitch that we received today does not fit on our vehicle. When the middle bolt on either side of the hitch is installed, the middle bolt on the other side cannot be installed. We need 1/8 of an inch to make it fit and we just cant. I have photos if that would help describe the problem. Im not sure if we need to force it in somehow or if something is wrong with the hitch that we received. Ive lifted it into place with a floor jack and positioned it and no matter what, if the middle bolt is installed Not tightly, just hanging loosly, the middle bolt on the other side DOES NOT go. Right now we have 3 bolts in the drivers side and one in the passenger because we cant get the second passenger bolt to go in. Any advice would be appreciated as were pretty irritated with the whole thing at this point.

Sometimes during shipping the hitch will get bounced around a bit which could cause it to be off just a hair. Our installers run into this from time to time and as long as there are no stress marks or paint chipping, there is an easy fix.
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 75902, for your 2015 Nissan Rogue should measure 44 inches from outside edge to outside edge. If the mounting wings are bent in too far, place one of the mounting wings under a sturdy table and pull up. This should fix the problem.
Another option that our installers use is to take an alignment tool, which is just a tapered steel rod with an end small enough to fit in one of the bolt holes on the frame and the hole in the hitch. With some effort they can pull or push the rod to get the hole to line up.
