Choosing and Installing a Replacement Peterson 7-Function Square Trailer Tail Light
Question:
I am looking to replace a Peterson Square Trailer Tail Light, 7-Function, Left Hand light but I am unsure how to get the wires off the broken Tail Light that is on my trailer now. It does have the quick connect brown and yellow wires. Is there an easy way to get those wires off the broken light I am trying to replace. Any help would be great.

The Peterson 7-Function Square Trailer Tail Light # 432400 shown in the linked photo uses press-to-release wire connectors. The arrows in the photo show the lower row of holes that need to be pressed with a pin, nail or similar item to release the wires from the upper holes. If the old light is badly corroded or if the release points do not work you can simply snip off the wires with wire cutters as close as possible to the light's housing in order to keep as much as possible of the trailer wire length.
