Comparison Between Fulton 5K And 6K Fast-Lok Coupler
Question:
I need to replace hitch on my 96 Triton 3 place Snowmobile Trailer that is a Fulton Class II, even though it only has 3500 GVW I want it to be secure. I am looking at another web site that offer a Fulton class III but it only 5k cheaper while yours is 6K. Sell me on the additional 1K GVW at additional cost and you will have made the sale.

The difference between the Fulton Fas-Lok Coupler with a 5,000 lb capacity, part # F343000301 and the 6,000 lb weight capacity coupler part # F346000301 is just that. The weight capacity. Both are a bolt-on installation, designed for 3 inch channel trailers, have trigger latches, and work with a 2 inch ball.
The mounting holes are spaced 3 inches apart and both have the Z-Max 600 finish that helps resist corrosion. While the F346000301 coupler is rated at a higher capacity, it sounds like it would be additional capacity you do not need, especially if your trailer is rated at 3,500 lbs. Both couplers would work fine for you and because it is just a little beefier, the 6K coupler may outlast the 5K. We do offer both, so you do have the option of still choosing a great company for either of the couplers you decide you want to purchase.
