How to Replace Inner Arms of Blackhawk 2 Tow Bar by Roadmaster

Question:

I have a towbar with a bent inner bar. It happens occasionally, which I suppose is due to my towed vehicle not being capable of turning as sharp as the motorhome I tow it with. Every time I have a new inner bar replaced, it cost me in the neighborhood of $350. I would like to make the repair myself. How difficult is it to do and are there any suggestions you might offer? Do the inner bars come with the necessary bushings and hardware? Thank you.

The tools needed to replace the inner arm of your Roadmaster Blackhawk Tow Bar part # RM-422 would be a 9/16 socket wrench, 1/4 inch allen wrench and a slot screwdriver. The part # RM910660-10 would be the correct kit to use. This comes with the needed bushings.

I attached picture of the installation instructions for this kit for you to check out as well.
