Re-Surfacing Specification for Hub/Drum Assembly on 3500-lb Axle

Question:

can these hubs braking surfaces be milled down slightly to smooth up the surface? I am in the process of overhauling the brakes and wiring system on a 3500 lb dual axle cattle trailer. we are installing new brake assemblies and one new hub. the braking surface on the three old hubs have some grooving of approximatley 1/32 to1/64 inch. if so what are the milling spec tolerances? we received our order yesterday. thank you for the fast delivery.

First, thank you for your recent order from etrailer.

Most hub/drum assemblies, including the Dexter # 84656UC3 that you purchased, will indicate their maximum re-bore dimension right on the hub outer surface. Please refer to the photo I have linked for you.
