If your 2009 Chevy Suburban has factory installed 7-way, you can follow the video attached below. The wires are all there, they are just tucked up underneath the dash below the steering column, to the left of the brake pedal, and tied together with white tape. The Primus Brake Controller, # TK90160, comes with a harness that you connect to the vehicle. There is an included plug, that plugs into the back of the brake controller. The other end of that piece has blunt cut wires that connect to your vehicle.

In the video, they cover the connections that need to be made to the power distribution box. Sometimes with a factory 7-Way, these wires are hooked up to the studs on the power distribution box. Sometimes they are not. If they are hooked up and you do not have power check the closest fuse locations for missing or blown fuses.

If you do not have factory 7-Way wiring, the process is a little more involved. You will need to also install a Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors, # 30955. I have included an installation video for a similar vehicle and an article that shows how to install this connector and the under hood wiring.
