Hitch Recommendation for a 2004 Toyota Tundra

Question:

Hi, I have a 2004 Toyota Tundra with a step bumper. My hole pattern on the stockinch bumper is center to center 8. Im looking at the E-3S bumper hitch. Does that hitch accommodate 8inch centers? Also, the trailer I just purchased is a very Light motorcycle trailer, 185-225 lbs total. Im going to mount a 538 lbs motorcycle onto it. Total weight +/- 763 lbs. This is the website to show you the trailer Im talking about. Plus, would you say it would carry the trailer and motorcycle ok? Thanks,

I have a better solution for you than the # E-3S, but to see if this hitch would fit your vehicle check out the picture I attached that shows it's bolt hole pattern. This hitch does have the capacity for the trailer you are interested in towing, but a custom fit hitch for your truck would be a MUCH better option.

For that you would want the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13184. This hitch installs by attaching to the frame of your vehicle, which is much stronger than the bumper, and since it was specifically designed to fit your truck I can guarantee it will fit your truck and work well. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.

Since you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.

If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included to the right that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.

For trailer wiring you would want the Curt harness part # C59496.
