Whether you're hauling heavy loads in your bed or cargo area or you're towing a trailer, you will often see the rear of your vehicle sag while the front end rises. In these cases, the rear axle is handling not only the weight of the cargo, but also more of the vehicle's weight. Because less weight is on the front axle, the front tires are making less contact with the road. Overall handling - traction, steering, and braking - is negatively affected. But the resistance from Timbren's Suspension Enhancement System works with your factory suspension to keep your vehicle level and improve your driving experience.
The Timbren system comes with custom-fit brackets that are bolted onto each frame rail above the rear axle. Hollow rubber springs are bolted to the bottom of the bracket and hang down to where the bottom of the spring sits, 1" above the axle. The inch of clearance allows the existing factory suspension to operate normally under light loads and standard terrain, ensuring the smooth, comfortable ride that you are used to.
Timbren Suspension Enhancement Systems are designed to work progressively. When the hollow rubber springs are compressed, the convoluted design causes them to quickly collapse along the folds. Once the folds are compacted, the stacked barrel shape increases resistance, stiffening the suspension and keeping your vehicle level.
Each hollow rubber spring works independently to support the driver's side or passenger's side of your vehicle. This is helpful when you swerve or make sharp turns. Each spring is activated when it is needed, so body roll is greatly reduced. The independent action also works well when you are hauling off-center loads.
Because the vehicle handles better with the springs, less turbulence will be passed along to the trailer, and this helps to keep the trailer in line. Your driving comfort is further enhanced if the trailer does begin to sway (from a gust of wind or a passing semi), because the movement from the trailer is not transferred to your vehicle. This also works to make the sway subside more quickly.
Another great feature of the rubber construction is that the springs absorb most of the road shock, creating a smoother, more stable ride overall. Wear and tear on the factory suspension is also lessened because the rubber springs work to prevent bottoming out on rough roads.
Timbren's Suspension Enhancement Systems are much easier to install than air springs - there are no air hoses to run, no compressors or gauges to hook up, and no manual adjustments to make. The rubber construction makes Timbren's springs more elastic than similar products constructed of microcellular urethane. And more elasticity allows for a more comfortable ride because the rubber has more travel.

6,000-lb Capacity. These hollow rubber springs sit above the rear axle to help stabilize and level your vehicle. They also provide a more comfortable ride by absorbing road shock and improving roll stability. Easy to install and use.The pro: The longer, heavier bump stops worked great when hauling my mustang home from Chicago. The truck stayed level and handled great.
The con: I had to remove the bump stops for everyday use. They limited my suspension travel causing a stiffer ride.
I am so glad I bought these for my truck. I was able to install them myself using a jack and jackstands. The ride is bit rougher now; but the suspension is totally awesome compared to before. I am able to haul a bit more weight when needed.

The Timbren suspension still working great. Although not intentional, a couple of months ago, I found myself in a situation where I had to pull a trailer and load that was about 9k lbs. or about 1500 overweight. I was able to pull it just fine and its all thanks to the Timbren suspension upgrade. If it had just been stock, I wouldnt have been able to do it.
Great product I put them on all my vehicles Ford trucks.
No issues with product. Installing on my 2021 Ford Ranger was a challenge as both bolts holding the factory rubber supports broke off in the frame. This required me to drill out both holes and use same size hex head bolt screws to install.
Worked better than expected..
Haven't put them through their paces yet so I can't speak to performance yet. Ordering was pretty simple, installation was amazingly easy. More than likely will be purchasing more products in the near future. So far pretty satisfied with the process.
I have these installed on my 2019 Ford Ranger. I use my truck to tow a ~3500lb travel trailer, previous to install my rear end felt very wallowy and moved around quite a bit in the wind/passing. Now with the Timbrens installed, the truck sits level with the trailer hooked up and the truck feels a lot more stable while towing. I'd recomend this for any Ranger owner who tows often! My only complaint is that you can feel them on the big bumps when the truck is unloaded....But the benifts out weigh the Downsides here.
I ordered these as my camper, has a heavy generator mounted on front of the camper and it was causing my stock 2021 Ford Ranger 4x4 to sag in the rear and also make my rig not safe going down the road. Once installed, it brought my truck almost to a perfect level state with camper attached. I will tell you that the installer (local shop) told me they had to do some slight trimming/mod to make them fit in place. They charged me $100 to install, which I felt was fair, likely 1 hr of their time. I am happy about this product and glad I ordered them, versus something else. 99% of the time, I'm not hauling anything and they don't adversely affect my trucks performance, nor require any maintenance.
I've had these installed for a year now and they have worked flawlessly. The ride whether fully loaded or empty has been superb. I've been on some seriously rough roads while loaded and frankly would have been concerned if I'd have had air bags instead of these. Great product!
Timbren, very high quality product. And the service from E-Trailer is perfect.
These do exactly what they were designed to do. I have a heavy sprayer on my truck for about 3 months in the spring to spray trees. My goal was to reduce load on the trucks springs.
I've had them for about a year now. I use my 20 ranger as a tow rig and just an overall work truck and these have been one of the best decisions. I used to have them on my 2500 and never noticed any difference but on the ranger it's a night and day. Will run again on any other truck I have in the future
Shipping was fast, product looks to be well made.
So far everything is working. Just as I though. The only complaint I have is the wait time that it took (12) days from the order date to when I receive the item.
Does exactly what it’s designed to do! Have had no issues at all.
Simple + Easy to Install
Easy install, about one hour with minimal mechanical ability.
I know it will be lovely when loaded or the trailer on. However,it rides like a wagon empty with brand new premium shocks and struts empty. Thud thud thud. You really cannot feel the shocks or suspension. Found exact same item plentiful for 60 bucks on eBay after I bought these for 250. I may cut these in half or put air bag on. I do not like the ride empty. No hard feelings. It is a good product maybe just not for me.
About a 1/2 inch difference in gap at the bump stop perch but still within parameters. Truck sits perfect with trailer attached. Haven’t towed yet. After towing if they perform like they should will upgrade to a 5 star. Easy to install, definitely needed 2x4 and jack. 2011 Silverado ext cab with 30 ft Genisis 5th wheel.
Was able to install these with a 15mm flex head ratchet wrench and lifted the rear of the truck to make it easier. 30 minutes to take off 4 nuts and put em back on. 2 minutes assembling the timbrens with the added spacer. I have a f350 with a salter and plow. Loaded with salt the lights shoot up and in the snow ?? it’s like hitting hyper drive and you’re blinded. These helped big time. Very happy so far.

I only install them when I tow or haul a heavy load. They limit my suspension travel in the rear and give me a stiffer ride with no load. They work great with a heavy load present.
