The two stainless steel, perforated cores in this muffler intersect in the middle, creating a suction effect. Whereas most mufflers push gases through the exhaust system, Tru-X mufflers pull them through using suction. This type of exhaust flow increases mid-range horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency. All these factors lead to improved engine performance.
The "X"-shaped intersection that creates the suction effect also reduces loud exhaust noise. The resulting tone is a smooth, deep growl, specific to MagnaFlow.
The inlets and outlets are lap-joint welded to the muffler body for durable construction that eliminates distortion and cracking. All materials are made from 100-percent stainless steel with a satin finish, making this muffler corrosion resistant.

There is simply no better muffler on the market. You only have to purchase one muffler and it covers so many angles. Dual in dual out first off. Straight through design for the least amount of back pressure. Built in X-pipe. Perforations and design of internals create a sound that is unrivaled. You just can't go wrong with this muffler. I have one on my 1995 Fullsize Bronco. I have one on both my 03 GTO's. I have one on my 01 Silverado and on my 1995 Camaro Z28.
I have done extensive testing on the dyno with these mufflers and with my GTO we decided to disconnect the exhaust system and go open headers to see what gains could be had. To my surprise it only gained 3 peak HP and lost 10lbs of Torque. The power was more consistent across the whole graph not just a peak number.
If this doesn't tell you just how wonderful a design this muffler is then I don't know what else could convince you lol.
