This product made the bikes fit on the rack like a professional would.

Still using them and it’s held up better than expected. I would highly recommend it and have done so.

I am very pleased with the adapter bar. I had to make an adjustment to my wife's Diamondback bike to make it work properly, but probably would be no different with any other adapter bar. Works great & we take our bikes wherever we go!

After using the extendable bar for womens bikes, I have noticed a couple things that could be tweaked. When extending the bar it sometimes comes apart 2 separate pieces. Would be nice if there was a built in catch that would not allow this my opinion. Also, with my wifes bike I had to make a part to put around the neck of the handle bars to make everything work. Because the seat is higher than the handle bars the bikes front tire is close to the ground when trailering. Thus the homemade part to help elevate the front of the bike so the front tire does not come in contact with the road while trailering. Hope my feedback helps.

The bike frame adapter bar does what it's supposed to do. Spring loaded release button is somewhat difficult to depress if you are a female with any length to your fingernails. As we are just using this product once a week, it will do, however, if we were to increase our usage we would upgrade to a product with an easier release.

I am unable to provide a product review because it is was a gift.

What I can comment upon is the quality of website search engine, ease of ordering, notifications of order process / shipment ( on a weekend...wow!), shipment tracking with delivery update and then the overall quality of the shipment package. You surprised me eTrailer and exceeded expectations.

Special thanks to Jose, George and other unknown faces at etrailer for a positive customer experience. Well done.

My experience ordering here was pretty good. The whole biking scene is new for me and I had valuable suggestions from the customer service representative. My items were shipped and arrived safely and quickly. I am pleased with my purchase of Bike rack and Bike Frame Adapter. I would definitely purchase here again.

by:

The adapter arrived exactly as described on the website. It for perfectly the first time and works perfectly adapting my wires bike to fit on our carrier. One thing notice when receievd is the adapter bar has a wide adjustment range and it was found it will also work on my daughter's 16" MTB so we ordered a second.

by:

Product arrived on time in good condition. The Advantage SportsRack Bike Frame Adapter part HE6009 seems like a decent product, but the product description that says it spans from 15.5"-28" is incorrect. The smallest clear span you could do with this product is about 16.5-28". I ordered it for small kids bikes, and I think should work for what I need it to. But just know it doesn't compress down as far as it says.

by:

Works as advertised for well less than the name brand versions and does the SAME thing. Don’t waste your money, buy this one. I needed three so I got three for the price of two. Spring loaded release on either end so no tools required, easy to adjust, and well built.

by:

I rated Etrailer EXCELLENT because they delivered the products before the estimated time that was quoted and they were very helpful when i was ordering the items

by:

Bar ends are protected so it will not scratch my daughter bike (the reason I purchased this).

Exactly what I needed for her bike so I can transport via my bike rack!

by:

Very well pleased with the product. Very easy to use in the application as described at the time order was placed. I do recommend this product.

by:

Just a great product. I use it to hold my wife's bicycle on our bike fact when traveling.

by:

Great product. Gets the job done.

by:

Great item works as expected.

by:

Easy to us and a must for multiple bikes

by:

Cool, Did everything it's supposed to do.

by:

Have not been able to use the product yet.
But it got to me in a timely fashion.
I will be out of town for two weeks, but when I get it set up I will send pictures.

by:

Works well-necessary to load bike.

by:

by:

  • Trailer Hitch and 4 Bike Hanging Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2012 Toyota Highlander
If you want to carry 4 bikes I definitely recommend going with Class III trailer hitch because of its higher capacity and plethora of accessory options. The Draw-Tite hitch, # 75586, would be my first choice but # 75726 is less visible since the bracket goes over the exhaust rather than under it. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. For a bike rack, I believe I have the perfect rack for you. Take a look at the Yakima FullSwing 4 Bike Rack - 2" Hitches - Swing...

  • Can Bike Frame Adapter Bar be Used on Platform Style Rack
A bike frame adapter bar can definitely be used for bikes being carried on a platform-style bike rack. There isn't another solution as this is exactly what is required in order to ensure the hooks can grasp a women's bike or one with a step-through frame. There are a couple options I recommend, depending on the distance between the handlebar stem and seat post of the bike, as the bars have tubes that adjust to different lengths. - 15-1/2" - 28" long: Advantage SportsRack Bike Frame Adapter...

  • Is An Adapter Bar Required To Load Children's Bike on the Thule Passage
An adapter bar might be required to hold your children's size bikes in the Thule Passage 2 Bike Rack # TH910XT. This rack will accommodate some children's bikes, but I cannot guarantee a fit for your bikes because bike frames come in many shapes and sizes. One reason you might need an adapter is if there is not enough room in the bike's frame for the carrier's arms to fit through. The arms of the bike rack measure 14 inches from center of arm to center of arm. If the arms cannot fit through...

  • Solution For Transporting 4 Various Types Of Bikes On A 2020 Kia Soul
I have a solution for you, but since the 2020 Kia Soul can only use a Class 1 hitch receiver, you will be limited to hauling only two bikes on the hitch receiver. A trunk-mount bike rack will be your best option for carrying up to 3 bikes on your Kia Soul. I would look into the Malone Hanger BC3 OS 3 Bike Carrier # MPG2139 which is confirmed to fit your vehicle. It can safely hold 3 bikes weighing up to 33lbs each; the carrier only weighs 15lbs making it very easy to install with one person....

  • Should I Use a Hitch Adapter or Match the Bike Rack to my 1-1/4 Trailer Hitch
It would be much better to get a bike rack that matches the hitch opening size. Any time you use an adapter, you cut the hitch capacity in half. If your tow vehicle is a 2007 Volkswagen Passat, this means you have a Class I hitch trailer hitch, rated at 200lbs for tongue weight. Once you add the adapter, you would instantly be dropping your hitch tongue weight capacity to 100lbs. Your bike rack and bikes would weigh too much to carry on your hitch using an adapter. The Kuat Beta 2-bike...

  • Recommended Hanging Hitch Bike Rack for Transporting 4 Bikes on 2012 Subaru Forester
You can transport 4 bikes on your 2012 Subaru Forester by using a 4-bike hitch-mount rack like the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR as long as your Forester's hitch is either a 1-1/4-inch Class II or a 2-inch Class III. Your hitch will have a safety sticker that indicates its class rating and its maximum tongue weight (TW) load capacity. The combined weight of the rack and bikes needs to remain within the hitch TW capacity. The Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR 4-bike rack fits both...

  • Does Advantage SportsRack Bike Frame Adapter Bar Have a Spring Return or Way to Stay Tight
Advantage SportsRack Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HE6009 does not have a return spring or way to tighten it down. It doesn't really need either because once it is installed it cannot open more or contract. The best adapter bar is # 64005. I recommend it all the time because of its lower price and it is the easiest one of all the adpater bars to use. It does have a spring return. I have linked a video review of the adapter bar for you.

  • Are Bike Adapter Bars Required to Load Womens and Childrens Bikes on a Bike Rack
That is simply too much to spend on adapter bars, I agree. You don't have to use a specific adapter bar so you can use # HE6009 which costs much less than some of the other options. You don't necessarily have to use bike adapter bars. But there are some situations where using one is the only way to load certain bikes. Take a look at the video I have linked for some examples. A regular women's bike frame that has the slanted bar doesn't have to have one (though the bike would be at a weird...
