I received this hitch well within a week. Score. Had to wait 5 days before installing. Followed the very easy to read and simple instructions and was not able to align this thing properly. Tried 2 other ways to try and get the bolt patterns to align without success. Found that the bump fastening plate was misaligned to the left by 1/4", making impossible to install without bending the bumper brackets or frame ear in some way. In the middle of attempting to resolve.

I got the hitch last month and got ready to put it on and found out that my torque wrench was broken. I took it to the ford dealer here in Winnsboro to have it put on. They said it would be about 1 1/2 hours to put it on. He called me about 20 minutes later to tell me it was ready. I gave them all the info on where I got the hitch from and let them know you had lots of different hitches and to go to your web page and check it out. Hopefully I can send some business to you. Great hitch, looks good and can't wait to try it out. Thank you.

No problems and I like it. Works great and I think I told you I gave your web site to the Ford dealership who put it on for me as my torque wrench broke and it was cheap to have it done there.Thank you again

Package arrived early by UPS. Hitch was in pristine shape, no scratches. Packaging was great, no shipping damage, All bolts and nuts were accounted for and located in a plastic bag securely attached to the hitch. The enclosed installation directions were clear and concise. Hitch mounting holes matched my truck exactly and only took 4.5 hours to install by an amateur (me).

2006 Ford F-150

I just got done installing my hitch on my 2006 F-150 XL pickup. Good thing you noted to loosen up the hitch bolts or I would have been befuddled for a time. The product is perfect and install went pretty well after we found the right tools to do the job. I would add that my friend and I did the install. It took us about 30 minutes and the worst thing was loosening up the 4 rusted bumper bolts. Once we got everything lined up it was just a matter of tightening all bolts down. The hitch looks great, fits perfectly and at the right price. A great product backed up by great service makes for very satisfied customers. I am so impressed with your company. Keep up the good work!!

Easy to install, can be done by one person. Took about an hour, which included unpacking and pulling all copper staples from the package (for recycling, yeah, I do that). The instructions say "If necessary, loosen (4) bumper bolts for improved hitch alignment." Consider this step necessary and loosen them, things will go much better. Also a cinder block with 3 small scrap 2x6 pieces of wood gets the hitch up to an easy install height. You need 19mm, 21 mm and a 15/16th in. sockets to tighten things up. I used a pry bar to hold the inner nuts in place on the bumper tabs when tightening because I couldn't get a wrench in there. It worked.

It was a pleasure doing business with etrailer.
Web
site and customer service was excellent. There was no problem in selecting the correct trailer for my vehicle.
I received the Hitch within 4 days in excellent condition. Enclosed instructions were right on the money and the job only took approximately 45 minutes to install.
I will definitely do business with this company for my future needs.

I bought this hitch receiver for my Son's 2006 F150. It arrived in perfect condition, and several days earlier than promised. The installation took only about 15 minutes. This is a good quality hitch at a great price.

This hitch is fantastic, I put it on a friends truck so he could expand his business and it has worked out great for him. I appreciate everything everyone at Etrailer has done for me over the years and can’t be happier with the service and selection of items they have to offer.

This is the second hitch I have purchased from trailer. As was the first one, this was flawless. Hitch was delivered well before I expected and fit as described. Best customer service on the internet. These people know how to run a business. Would and will buy from them again.

Love this place. Placed order everything went thru fine, got confirmation # next morning got e-mail that there was mistake and part wasn't in stock with a apology and they would have it in in march, Wow They actually let me know this. Most companies would've would just let you wait it out. Product packaged well. Thank for the good work I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

I'm going to be 74 in a few days. I got the hitch in two days. I put it on this morning it took me about an hour. I put it on jack stands started all the bolts and then torqued
them down. Only thing I would change is go to standard size nuts. A business wanted $ 85.00 dollars to install their hitch which was $254.00. You sell a great product.

by:

Good product. Poor packaging. The hitch was beat up from shipping and no padding in the box. Had to touch it up in several places with gloss black spray paint which does not match the black powder coating.

by:

I am a 64 man that is just not what he used to be, and found that install was as easy as they said it would be.Everything fit and was done in about 45 minutes for me.The electrical parts fit and worked very well. Thank you very much for a great product and service.

The hitch went on just as the instructions said. Had to use my floor Jack to lift the unit as it is to heavy to hold with one hand. Looking forward to being able to use it

  • Would Hitch From Dodge Truck Fit 2006 Ford F-150
No you would have to upgrade to a new hitch as there aren't any hitches for trucks that fit between brands and in most cases they only fit for a few years at a time. A very popular option for your 2006 Ford F-150 is the Curt hitch part # C13365 which I attached an install video for as well.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2007 Ford F-150
For your 2007 Ford F-150 Supercab 2WD, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13365 . This is a simple bolt on installation once the factory hitch is removed. I've attached a video to assist with the installation. For a ball mount, I recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch...

  • Trailer Hitch for a 2005 Ford F-150 that Looks Like a 2006 Ford F-150
Are you talking about the saddle bracket that goes across the back of the vehicle on the 2006 or are you talking about the vibration dampers on the 2005? I suppose it is possible that your truck could have components on it for a 2006 if it was built late in the 2005 cycle. But it does not seem likely they would use a whole different frame. What I have done is linked instructions for a 2005 hitch, # C13352, and a video, as well as instructions and a video for a 2006 hitch, # 75506, along...

  • Can Curt Trailer Hitch 13365 for a 2007 Ford F-150 Handle 4,000 Pounds of Trailer and Horses
Curt trailer hitch # C13365 is rated for 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight (10,000 pounds when using weight distribution) so it can handle a gross trailer weight of 4,000 pounds easily. If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. • Does The Installation Of Curt Class III Hitch # C13365 On A Ford F-150 Require Any Drilling
There is no drilling required to install the Curt Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # C13365, on your Ford F-150. The hitch will bolt-on to the existing holes in your vehicles frame. It is a simple installation. I am including the installation instructions for the Valley hitch.

I have a solution for your 2007 Ford F-150 STX as long as it didn't come with a factory hitch, but the # 41004 is for much older trucks and would not be it. The Curt hitch part # C13365 would be a fit and work well on your truck. If you check out the install video I attached you can see on the truck quarter panel that it is an STX model as well. • Tip for Getting Last Trailer Hitch Install Bolts to Line Up During Install
It's not out of the ordinary for hitches to get slightly bent in shipping or sometimes there's just small variances on the vehicle. In a situation like yours what normally works is to have all of the hitch hardware that lines up just barely started so that you can move the hitch around a bit and then use that bit of movement to get the last two bolts started and from there torque the hardware down.
