etrailer is great. The Curt trailer hitch is great. 1995 GMC van tolerances not so great. 6 of the 8 bolt holes lined up. The other two required me to elongate the holes in the hitch. Based on the comments others have also had this problem. The hitch should probably be fabricated with these holes elongated. Make sure you have a die grinder handy.

Harder than expected to install due to rusty carriage bolts on the bumper, but that has nothing to do with the hitch. Also kit only came with two 1/2" bolts to fish through and drop into the van frame. It did not come with the other four 1/2" bolts that attach into threads already in the frame. I suppose they assume your going to reuse the grade 5 bolts that were already there, but I replaced them with new grade 8 bolts. So other than an unexpected trip to the hardware store and having to order 2 new stainless carriage bumper bolts, it's a very nice, heavy hitch. Seems to be very high quality.

It did come with some light scratches and scuffs, but not all the way through the paint, and unless your going to crawl under the van no one will ever see them, so it didn't really matter to me.

The hitch came in right on time and worked perfectly! I have used etrailer.com before and I have been impressed with how professional they are and how well their products fit every model of vehicle. The trailer light kit was very easy to install as well. I will be using them again.

Sometimes when trailer hitch receivers are shipped, they can be flexed, this is because they are designed to flex with your vehicle once it is installed. I am attaching an article telling you how you can correct the flex of your trailer hitch receiver.

  • Trailer Hitch That Fits Motorhome on Class C Lazy Daze on 1983 G30 Chassis
We have the Draw Tite hitch part # 41121 as a confirmed fit for your 1983 Lazy Daze Class C motorhome that is built on a G30 frame. We had a customer come back and leave a review for this hitch where they told us it fit really well on their G30.

  • Receiver Hitch for 1989 Lazy Daze RV hitch Built on Ford Van Cutaway Chassis
We have a few bolt-on hitches that could work with your 1989 Ford Cutaway Van Chassis, if the outside to outside frame width is around 42 inches. You'll also want to measure for the drop you need. The drop if the vertical distance from the underside of the frame members where the hitch would attach to the lowest portion of the back bumper. You'll want to choose a hitch with the proper amount of drop, so the receiver tube will clear the rear bumper. If the drop is 1-1/2 inches or less,...

  • Trailer Hitch Solution for 1983 Chevrolet G30 Box Van
Since your truck has a box van on it there is a solution for installing a hitch, but a custom fit one like the # C13016 would not work. I spoke to my contacts at Curt and Reese and the only styles of hitches that can be made to fit a box van like yours are multi-fit RV hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916.

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver Compatible with 1995 Chevy G30 Coachmen Camper Van
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13016 is a fit for your 1995 Coachman Class B camper van. It is a fairly easy installation bolting up in about an hour with the possibility of holes needing to be enlarged. I've linked the installation instructions to assist. If you will be towing with this hitch receiver, I recommend also using the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55338 for your wiring harness. Then you can use the Curt...

  • Replacement Trailer Hitch Mounting Hardware For 1986 Chevrolet G20 Van
I have an option for you, but the spacer block used for your 1986 Chevy G20 Van measures 1/4" x 1" x 2-1/2" and the closest option we have that is not sold as a kit is the Trailer Hitch Spacer Block # RP3022 which measures 3" Long x 1" Wide x 1/4" Thick and may not work in the frame without modification. Instead I recommend find which brand and model the trailer hitch receiver you are installing on your van is, and using Replacement Hardware Kit # RHK. You will need to enter the model...

  • Can Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # C13016 Be Used with Weight Distribution System
The Curt Class III Receiver Hitch # C13016 referenced in your question is indeed rated for use with a weight distribution system. When a weight distribution system like the Reese Steadi-Flex # RP66560 you referenced is used with the hitch its towing capacity increases to 10,000 pounds and its tongue weight limit increases to 1,000 pounds (compared to 6,000 and 600 respectively without a WD system). Please just keep in mind that you will still always be limited by the capacities of the...

  • Trailer Hitch For 1985 Chevy G30 Van
Definitely not as that's for mid-2000s Silverado/Sierra trucks; the trailer hitch with the highest capacity for your 1985 Chevy G30 van is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13016. This has at 6,000 lb towing/600 lb tongue weight capacity that can reach up to 10,000 lbs towing/1,000 lbs tongue weight with the use of a weight distribution hitch. If you are indeed towing with the # C13016 and also need a 4-way wiring harness, the right fit is part # C58044.

  • Will the Curt Hitch C13016 for a Chevy Van Fit a 1991 Chevy G30 Roadtrek
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13016 is only a confirmed fit for a 1978 - 1996 Chevrolet Van which excludes conversion models. The reason for this is because the conversion van models do not have the mounting hole for the bumper which is the front facing hole on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver closest to the receiver tube opening. I spoke with Curt and all they were willing to release is the distance between the two holes left to right which is 40.873". I recommend the Adjustable...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver For 1995 Chevy G30 Van
First, thanks for the kind words, they are genuinely appreciated. And as far as questions go, asking about a front hitch on your 1995 Chevy G30 is not crazy at all, it is perfectly reasonable to wonder! But as you may have suspected, there is not a front hitch, just a rear hitch. I bring that up as you said you want to do a rear one, so when that time comes the correct part is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13016. Then if you also wanted a wiring harness you'd need the T-Connector...

  • Trailer Hitch that Fits 1991 Chevrolet G30 Mini Motorhome

  • Installing Trailer Hitch on 1995 GMC Conversion Van with Aftermarket Bumper
The custom trailer hitches we have available for your 1995 GMC G20 Van, such as the Curt Class III # C13016 that you were looking at, do indeed feature pre-drilled holes that are designed to line up to existing holes in the van's frame rails and bumper. If your van doesn't have the existing bumper bolts and nuts that are used to secure the front of the hitch you will need to drill into it (and obtain the necessary hardware) to make this connection. I really can't recommend passing this...

  • 2-Inch Hitch for 1990 GMC Full Size Van Without Step Bumper
We do have custom-fit hitches for the 1990 GMC full-size van without step bumper but these are all Class III types and they are shown on the linked page. No class IV hitches are offered. Two of the hitches, the USA-made Curt # C13016 and the Draw-Tite # 41121, are no-drill installations. I recommend the Curt # C13016 because of its higher 6K towing capacity and its concealed cross tube which gives it a cleaner installed appearance. The written instructions are linked.
